The best view comes from the hardest climb

Can you believe it, it is the last month of the year. 2019 will be here in 31 days . . . are you ready? It is a statistical fact that depression is high during the month of December. It is also a statistical fact that the cause of most depression is outside pressure. As entrepreneurs, December is normally our time of reflection and decision making.

For eleven months you have matched hustle with vision and failure with learning objectives; you have been climbing . . . but are you ready for the view? Transparently, I am not ready. I’m struggling with the “should have, would have, could have” scenarios from the year. I am holding on so much that I feel I am using those problems as a crutch. I think to myself “I should be on top of my game, but I know it is because of my own procrastination.” I continue to feel that I am not doing well enough.

Do you have those feelings? Do you find yourself asking “why haven’t they called me yet?”, “why am I not obtaining any profit with my business,” and “why can’t I turn leads in sales.” This is all normal and part of the grind.

This month it’s time to take a hard look at everything around you and make change. This month is the time to get it together. Stop the pity, stop the complaining. It’s time to finish the climb. We have worked hard all year. We have put in the work. We have overcome. We may have stumbled, but we didn’t fall. We may have been troubled but wasn’t in despair. We may have been cast down but not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9) We may have missed a step, but we continued to climb. We've made it to this point. Today marks the beginning of the end. We have 31 days to finish the climb because 2019 is our time to see the view. The time to sit back for a spell, and reap what we have sown. Look at where you have come from and wait for the view to locate you. Your view may be extra zeros and a comma in your bank account. Your view may be with a new door to a new office. Your view may be the spotlight with a room full of supporters. Your view may be a hug from a loved one. Your view may be forgiveness. Your view may be restored strength. Whatever the view, you obtained it from the hardest climb and it shall be a spectacular view.

I have enjoyed connecting with you this year. Your responses about this blog have touched my heart and ministered to me. I am so honored to have touched you in ways to motivate and inspire you. I pray for a safe and blessed holiday for you. Hopefully, you will join me next year as we enjoy the view together.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
