Walk the Bridge Daily

Days are filled with decisions, reactions, thoughts, doubts, triumphs and sometimes anxiety, but how many days are we really spending in prayer? How often do you pray? When is your prayer time?

As much as we spend being productive, working hard to accomplish a task and taking 5 minutes to spend with our loved ones; it is important to access our time with God. Yes, prayer is your personal face time with God.

Can you imagine a new app available that would connect you directly to God? Where you could ask him whatever you wanted and receive an answer. Well, that app doesn't need to be created and no technology will be able to sustain what prayer can do.

Last year, I wrote a transparent blog about my daughter and the powerful prayers of a mother. Through my prayers, the darkness of my daughter not being able to speak was no match for the light that God declared she would speak.

In another blog, I pronounced that I used to panic now I pray. I stressed that the anxiety I had would diminish after prayer.

Today, I voice that prayer is the bridge between panic and peace that I walk several times a day. The importance of prayer should not stress you out. Prayer is not a chore but a lifestyle. Prayer is a therapy session that is free. Prayer is medicine without a prescription. Prayer is your unlimited access to God, to know God in a deeper way.

It’s impossible to know someone if you don’t spend time with them. Prayer is an opportunity to spend time with God. To really understand the heart of God, you need to pray. In John 15:15, Jesus says He no longer calls us his servants but calls us His friends. Talking with God develops a deeper relationship with Him. The deeper the relationship becomes, the more time you want to spend with Him. In 1 Corinthians 3:9, God calls us His fellow workers. How can we be His fellow workers if we refuse to talk to Him?

Save yourself the headache and the heartache and start walking this bridge daily, several times a day. There is power in prayer and God is still working miracles every day. Don't doubt that power and don't neglect your relationship with Him.
